The VCAL Youth Program at Glenroy Neighbourhood Learning Centre provides a practical, hands-on option for learning for Year 10 and Year 11 students. The program provides a safe, supportive environment where students can learn in a way that encourages them to remain engaged in their schooling. By creating supported learning opportunities that are practical and relevant to themselves, students are given the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. In addition, a strong emphasis of the program is pathways planning and the building and strengthening of self-esteem and confidence. We strive to empower our young students to achieve their learning goals.
Glenroy Neighbourhood Learning Centre provides all four strands of the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) with an emphasis on building foundation skills, engagement in community based projects, and personal portfolio development.
